While Type 2 diabetes is known to be associated
with many metabolic changes, relatively little is known
about the intact metabolic profile of pre-diabetic animals.
I plan to combine genetic mapping and micro array analysis
with NMR spectroscopy and statistics, in order to identify
metabolites and global metabolic profiles that are associated
with the pathogenesis of diabetes.
